Education and Areas of Practice
After studying Graphic Design in Switzerland and Illustration at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart, he established his own studio.
As a designer and art director, he works for film producers, concert organizers, museums, theaters, publishers, as well as in image development for institutions and companies.
He combines unconventional ideas with the practical Swiss design tradition.
For each project, he selects the technique that best interprets the subject: typography, graphic design, drawing, painting, or photography.

Design Approach
Visual design refers to working with form, color, photography, and typography – a field that may increasingly be handled by artificial intelligence in the future.
Visual communication, by contrast – the creation of visual ideas – is a generative, creative process. Content arises through thinking, interpretation, and design-based decision-making. This kind of creative process cannot be replicated by AI.

AI functions as a black box: it delivers results without revealing the underlying thought process. As a technology-centered method, it focuses on the product – not on its conceptual development.Communication design, on the other hand, is a process-oriented, reflective practice. A visual idea must first be conceived, then tested, refined, and further developed through the act of designing. Only through making it visible do weaknesses become apparent – and through careful refinement, the message takes shape and is communicated clearly, precisely, and in a way that resonates with its target audience.Visual communication makes thought visible through images. Those who treat graphic designers merely as design laborers forgo creative depth – such requests or commissions are declined.
