After completing his training as a graphic designer in Switzerland (diploma) and studying illustration and book design at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, he established a successful design practice.
As a designer and art director, he works with film producers, concert organizers, museums, theaters, publishers, as well as in corporate and institutional image branding. He combines unconventional ideas with the practical Swiss tradition. In addition, he is dedicated to teaching and serves as a lecturer and expert in visual communication at art schools both nationally and internationally. Since 2008, he has been a guest professor at Nanjing University of the Arts, China. He is also actively involved worldwide as a speaker and jury member.
His work focuses on conveying the content and visualizing a message. To achieve this, he selects the most appropriate technique for interpreting the subject matter: typography, drawing, painting, or photography.
In projects involving other contributors to the design process, their names are listed in the imprint. All works displayed on this website have been exclusively created by Stephan Bundi, from the initial sketch to the final print preparation.
Optimal solutions are possible when thinking, designing, conceptualizing, crafting, and continuous reflection are undertaken as a developmental process by one individual.
His work has been presented and documented in numerous publications and design collections worldwide.
